Our Rig

Hello! We're Val and Adam, and this is our overland rig, "BANTHA1." It’s more than just a vehicle—it’s a reflection of our journey to the American West 10 years ago and our evolving love for overland adventures.

Our rig has grown with us, transforming from simple tent camping to a 2021 Ford F-250 equipped with a Hallmark Guanella Truck Camper and Highway Products flatbed with workboxes. Each aspect of BANTHA1 represents thoughtful decisions inspired by our travels, aimed at striking a balance between capability, comfort, and efficiency..

What started as sleeping in the truck bed evolved into a passion for truck campers, leading us to customize our rig with a flatbed, exterior storage solutions, and countless upgrades in areas like electrical systems, storage, communications, water, hygiene, cooking, and overall comfort. Our approach is rooted in our agile work experience, where we try small changes, assess their impact, and improve from there.

BANTHA1 is built for quick set-up and pack-up, enabling us to frequently move from one campsite or adventure to the next, whether it's a road trip stopover or a remote location 50 miles from pavement. It has been our reliable companion on our adventures.
